Past few weeks have been a little hollow and tiring with me becoming a lot more drained than I used to be. Booking some time off from work might be in order. Anyways, I've been a bit too busy to get around to completing anything (what fun) but I've at least reserved some time to organise what I plan to do this month hobby-wise:

Firstly and foremost, the Mega Man 8 video will be shelved for another time because I'm considering scaling down to something closer to my comfort zone which is also more appropriate to my current interests. As for art, I'm still warming up to a tablet, but I think I can get something done by the weekend. Don't know what it will be, but it'll be something... I hope...

(Damn it, I've been on this platform for a short while and I have yet to do something with it...)

After sitting on the idea for a few days, I decided to get myself a drawing tablet with a bigger screen, sorting on an XP Pen 15.6 which was on a very good offer. It arrived in the evening and I hope to practice a little more with it in the upcoming week, but my god, it finally feels comfortable to draw! Goes to show how a few extra inches of screen real-estate makes a difference. Also comes with a stand as well which is pretty neat.

Already, my line confidence has built up quite a bit and curves are much easier to do. With my previous one, it did feel like I was fighting against it at times. It's actually been giving me motivation to draw again...

Before I do anything big, my plan is to do a few drawings for a Mega Man 8 video project I intend to do for February; Currently thinking of a thumbnail and a reference to TADC but with Astro man

It's almost fate that I always get some sort of issue whenever I plan to do something...

Randomly got some severe wrist pain early last-night up until lunch time. It's still a bit raw but nowhere near as painful as it was. As a silver lining, I was able to record all the footage I needed for a video project and I am at least still able do some drawing warm ups for the rest of the day.

Still sucks that nothing I do goes as planned though...

Unfortunately, I've been a bit exhausted this weekend assembling my new desk in addition to giving my room a necessary reshuffle. I felt my room could definitely use a refresh, and so, I reserved most of yesterday to sort and move stuff around. It was tiresome but worth it in the end at least.

On a similar topic, also decided to clean up some of the stuff on my laptop. With my new desk set up, I can finally start recording stuff again! While I previously only did the odd clip or two, I have a semi-solid plan of making video/streaming content; My first idea being a video on Mega Man 8 which has become one of my favourites in the classic Mega Man series.

For the meanwhile, I've been testing capture methods for the 3DS and found Artic Base to be the best for my uses. In the next month, I plan to make a Tomadachi Life series where I just throw in me, my friends, and any random characters we can think of and see what happens...

After a little more than an hour, a simple tutorial, and panicking when the 3DS didn't open in the midst of it, my new 3DS xl had officially been homebrewed!

My reason for doing so is to use some capturing software to hopefully record any future games I play, and to also replace a few features that were deprecated or neutered by Nintendo. 2025 so far is looking bright, and all that's left is to wait for my new pop filter because mic plosives are killing me x_x

That said, I should really get to drawing something digitally; Aiming either tomorrow, or the weekend. Also, to explain the recently frequent posts, one of my personal goals this year is to be more active online, so I'm aiming to at least do a post every 1-or-2 days on my social media, regardless of substance.

Here's to hoping my drawing tablet and 3DS don't brick in the meanwhile...

The 3DS has been a console that I always wanted to have as a kid, almost asking for it every birthday and christmas, and eventually losing interest once the Switch came around. Now, since last year was my time to catch up on my childhood, I finally decided to go out my way to buy a 3DS, and you don't know how happy I am to finally get one!

Was able to get one for a decent price that had barely been used when the console released; Factory-reset and ready to go! Currently have some interest in modding as I hope to capture my footage for future use whether it be YouTube or Live-streaming something.

On that subject, I have been interested in making some videos on games I like, mostly being a mix of playthroughs and essays. I plan to do a few on the 3DS but also the Wii as well. Unfortunately, my old Wii has been banished to France, so I'm gonna have to go the emulation route for now...

Not every day you get a cold immediately as soon as the new year begins, but here I am...

Thankfully, I'm through the most of it, so I can finally start some projects that I hope to continue/complete within the year; Firstly being getting myself properly into game development and start making a Mega Man fangame!

It's a thing I've always wanted to do since being first introduced to the community years ago, and the blue bomber has become something of a comfort series because of that. Plus, it'd make a good second attempt after failing my first time due to full-time education and lack of long-term motivation.

This time, I want to do a little different and make a game solely focussed on the 1-or-2 endless modes found in the newer Mega Man games. I have some initial ideas in mind as well as what could be done for the story, but I'll elaborate when I have something more final in mind...

Also trying out GM2 again (after using an out-dated GMS 1.4 for years) and surprisingly adjusted to it very quickly, even though there's still 1-or-2 nuances that throw me off x_x

Hello world, hope everyone's had an amazing new year!

While I had originally made an account many months ago, I ended up completely forgetting about it during the midst of real life stuff and trying to figure out some things that I wanted to work on such as who I wanted to be and achieve moving forwards. Moreover, after removing my Twitter for good, I felt like now's the time to be part of a community that doesn't feel like a bunch of artificial numbers and interaction, and that is where this comes in...

My intention is to use this account as a portfolio of sorts to document my progress throughout the year as I hope to motivate myself to give attention to hobbies that I'm gradually left to the way-side. My old account shall remain, but I'll likely use that as a back-up or just talking about my thoughts...
